Inkonoclast, now in W. Hollywood, California, expects to emphasize poetry and perhaps reprints of some works of history. We are primarily interested in formal poetry, but also in free verse. We like good craftsmanship, respect for classic figurative and rhetorical devices, and attention to language. Inkonoclast wants poetry worth rereading, revealing a keen and nuanced sensibility, conveying experiences and ideas worthy of a reader’s attentiveness.
We are open to neglected and orphaned forms, including epigrams and prose poems, and English-language originals adapting other languages’ forms and poetics (e.g. Chinese lushi, the Arabic ghazal, Vietnamese luc-bat).
